national audubon society

I worked with the Audubon team to create and build out materials for the Environmental Leadership Awards of 2024. During this project, I worked closely with different team members to make a cohesive, detailed design package for the fundraising event.

The Seed

The goal of the project was to revamp last year's design with new photography and a new application of the existing brand identity. The project needed to adhere to Audubon Connecticut and Audubon New York bird species and plants. The accuracy of this information was vital to the project so I researched specific bird species and native plants in the area of the event in Connecticut and New York.

The two main resources for this project are listed below:

Connecticut Audubon

National Audubon Society. (2019, November 6). Priority bird species. Audubon Connecticut. https://ct.audubon.org/priority-bird-species

Native Plant Trust

New England Wild Flower Society (http://plantfinder.nativeplanttrust.org). (n.d.-b). Ammophila breviligulata. New England Wild Flower Society. https://plantfinder.nativeplanttrust.org/plant/Ammophila-breviligulata

The Sowing

The branding of the National Audubon Society is recognizable and familiar. The brand guidelines served as a base for the building blocks of this fundraising event design.

Through a process of visual brainstorming and collaboration with the creative and marketing team, together we developed a visual identity to pull through all the graphic elements of this project. I created the American Beachgrass illustration which we used as a subtle graphic element in the pieces.

The Harvest
